Under NETA criteria any rise above 15 °C over a similar component is a major discrepancy: repair immediately.

When no off-the-shelf tool could show a client where a silo shell was thinning, we wrote our own. SiloMap takes the thickness readings our rope access team records on the drop and maps them onto a colour-coded 3D model of the asset — the same way thermography turns temperature into a picture.
- Five views of one survey. 3D shell referenced to true north, 360° developed map, plan view, a profile for every drop and a sortable data table — every figure stamped with bearing, elevation, scale and date.
- Built on the real shell. Each strake keeps its own nominal and material, so loss is measured against the right plate; cones, hoppers, dished heads and horizontal vessels are modelled, not approximated.
- Landmarks, not bearings. A finding reads "between the manhole and the davit crane", because that is how your maintenance crew will find it.
- Honest about coverage. Colour between readings illustrates the measured points; the map shows the shell actually measured and hatches the rest.
