Using extremely high-spec infrared cameras (minimum FLIR T660), we're able to effectively identify potential electrical faults in a matter of minutes! Where we work on the Sunshine Coast

Our office is at Eumundi, which puts almost every Sunshine Coast site inside a short drive. That matters for the smaller jobs: a single main switchboard at a Coolum body corporate or a Maleny cafe does not have to wait until we are "in the area", and a board flagged as a major discrepancy can be re-imaged after the repair without a second trip charge from out of region.

The work here has its own shape. Much of it is body corporate and resort stock: dozens of small distribution boards scattered through basements, pool plant rooms, lift motor rooms and common-property risers, all of which have to be inspected without disturbing residents or guests. And it is a coastal, humid, salt-laden environment — conditions that corrode terminations and accelerate the loose-connection faults thermography is best at catching, which is why annual scanning is worth more here than in a dry inland plant room.

What a Sunshine Coast survey costs

A typical body corporate — one main switchboard and a handful of common property distribution boards — is usually inspected and reported for well under $1,000. Boards must be live and carrying at least 40% of normal load, because a fault only generates heat when current is flowing through it. Every anomaly is compared against its reference phase and against ambient, then classified to a NETA severity band with a defined repair timeframe.
